Gates will be at homo to their friends aftor April 1, at C07 East Lincoln Highway. ) :o: IIADDA PETERSON JOHNSON Mrs. Johnson wns born March 3, 1838 in Sweden and died at the homo of her son, ' Hormun Johnson, just south of North Platte, on February 1G, at tho ago of 85 years, 11 months and 8 days. Her death was not un expected as she has been a sufferer from inflamatory rhoumatsm for a number of years. She grew to wo manhood in Sweden and in 1SG1 she married Johanes Johnson. To this union were born seven chldrcn, four of whom died In Infancy. In tha spring of 18S2 tho father died and in tho fall the oldest son, John, emi grated to. tho United States. Several years later Mrs. Johnson and her sons, James and Herman, camo to this country, reaching North Platto on Juno 5, 1888. They took a home stead about nlno miles southeast of horo and Mrs. Johnson has lived there conslnuously for nlmost 35 years. Only ono son is left to rovoro her memory. Other near relatives are two daughters-in-law, eight grand children, threa grcat-gr'andchfldreu, one sister, Mrs. Anna S. Carlson of this city, and one brother, Frod Pot eraon of Ashland, Wis. i At tho ago of 16 she was confirmed in tho Lutheran church and has al ways lived a Christian llfo, her Blblo and .hymn book being hor dally com panions. Tho funeral Bervlces wore hold on ' Sunday afternoon, Fobrujary 19, at 2:30 from tho Pleasant VI ow school house on Jack Morrow flats, and woro in charge of Rov. C. F. Koch, pastor of tho Frist Evangelical Lutheran church of North Platte. A choir sang "Ncaror My God to Thoo" and "Asleep In Jesus." Tho pall bearers wero Messrs. John Duckloy, William Buckley.
