To the People of Nebraska.
I appeal to you for a square deal on

If my service has been faithful, I
should bo returned to the sonato; if it
has not been faithful, I should bo de

tho state, and succeeded in assisting
Governor Mickoy in collecting from tho
railroads delinquent taxes of moro than
$1,250,000.
During my service in the sonato I
have stood and fought:
For just protective duties, mensurod
by tho difference in cost of production
at homo and abroad;
For a non-partisan tariff board of ox
ports to invesigato and report tho
facts relating to the cost to tho presi
dent and to congress;
For the direct election of senators by
tho people;
For tho Direct Primary, including
a Presidential Primary;
For direct legislation;
For liberal and just pensions;

Anti-trust law and against its rcpenl;
For non-interforence by the fcdurnl
courts in tho enforcement of state
taxes; ,
For tho ratification of tho Peaco
treaties;
' Against ship subsidy;
F6r every progressive mrjasuro that
has boon before the senate.
If my position on these qnostion
meets your approval, I hope you will
so oxpross yourself at tho Primary.
Nonius Brown.
W P. Byron, of Gothenburg, who
formerly lived in Milwaukeo, is quoted
by tho Omaha Beo as saying that Wis
consin is tho worst machine ridden
state of tho Union, that Senator La
Follctto destroyed tho old machine, but
has built one of his own that is moro
formidable than any horetoforo known
in that Btato.

Making Bad Plumbing
good is a big part of our business. We
dislike the wrk in one way. It shows
us what really had work some alleged
plumbers can do. It is very satisfac
tory in another way. For when we
finish tho job, tho persons for
whom we work see the difference at

Good
plumbing, as we do it, costs less than
the other kind. There arc no repairs
always necessary. That comforting
