DOG KILLING
III II Introduced by Western Iteprt
aetitatlven In Mate legislature
to Kxtermliiate I'rairie IVK
I'rairie dogs and gophers, whlcB
have been doing great damage t
fields and pastures In many parts of
Nebraska, are to be systematically
exterminated by a yearly campaign
for their destruction, under the
terms of a bill which will be Intro
duced In the legislature soon by
Representatives Foster, Broome,
Hornby and Stearns.
This will be done without resort
ing to the unpopular expedient of
paying a bounty for the pelts of th
troublesome animals, which has beets
proposed in other legislative sessions
but never became a law.
The bill will make it the duty of
every land owner In the state to kill

Where the prairie dog or gopher
