Reed Likes Arizona A letter received from A. S. Reed, who recently moved to the Salt River of Arizona, states iti part: "We had a good and safe trip. The horses came through in good shape and have done well on the alfalfa since we got here. We are preparing land to sow to wheat, barley and oats. Will pasture through the winter months and harvest next May or early in June. "There is a lot of building going on in Phoenix this fall, and some of the buildings are mighty fine. There are many small farms between my place and town twenty-six houses on the road the first two miles toward town. The following proposed amendment to the constitution of the State of Ne braska, as hereinafter set forth in full, la submitted to the electors of tbo State of Nebraska, to be voted upon at the general election to be held Tues-' day, November 8th, A. D. 1910: A JOINT RESOLUTION to amend Section one (1) of Article seven (7) ot the Constitution of the State of Ne braska. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska: Section 1. (Amendment constitu tion proposed ) That section one (1) of article seven (7) or the constitution of the state of Nebraska, the s'enato concurring, be so nmended ns to read as follows: Section 1. (Who are electors.) I'v ery male citizen of the United State3, of the age of twenty-one years, who shall have been a resident of this stato six months next preceding the election and of the county, precinct, or ward, for the term provided by law shall bo an elector: provided, that persons of foreign birth who shall have declared their Intention to become citizens con formably to the laws of the United States and are voting at the taking ef fect of this amendment, may continue to exercise the right of suffrage until ouch time as they may have resided In the United States live years, after which they shall take out full citizen ship papers to be entitled to vote at any succeeding election. Section 2. (Ballots.)
