Alliance Cash hoe Store Heminfford Happenings. Mr. Melick returned from Alliance Friday, Frank Black and wife went to Alli ance Saturday returning Sunday. Miss Ethel Campbell returned to her work in Alliance on 44 Wednesday. McCluskcy's moved into the Congre gational parsonage last week. They for merly occupied the Graham house. Wm. Johnson had a two-year-old colt cut quite bad in the wire last Thursday. A. M. Miller 'and A. S. Enyeart left for an extended visit in Chicago the first of the week. Wiford Mosher returned from Ran dolph Monday. Uncle Will Mosher accompanied him. Ora Fosket, wife and daughter Ag nes, went to Chadron Saturday to visit with Mrs. .Frank Olds. Walter Hughes, who has been living in rooms over C J. Wildy's store, has moved into the Graham house. Pete Swanson has returned from his visit to his old home in the eastern part of the state. He reports a good time. Mrs. Win. Curry and mother, Mrs Hess, went to Chadron Sunday. Mrs. Hess came down to spend Thanksgiv ing. H. L. Bushnell and wife left for Cal ifornia where they will spendthe winter with Mrs. Claude Browu and Miss Carrie. Don't forget Plane, the Necroman- tique Entertainer, who will be at the Hemingford opera House, December 13. 1909' Charles Root and wife left Thursday for Texas where they will spend the winter and see if Mrs. Root's health will improve- Theo. Johnson is home from trip to Oregon. He said he saw all of the Hemingford people and that they liked the country fine. Miss Minnie Iverson returned from her trip to Chadron, where she has been visiting old schoolmates for the past three weeks, Saturday. Miss Agnes Muirhead arrived from Toronto, Canada, Wednesday. She has been visitipg with Dr. Muirhead of Omaha and came out to visit with her uncle. Alex Muirhead. Quite an excitement was caused over in the NewRestaurant when the flue and partitions caught fire. It was soon put out, however, and no damage was done. Wm. Fosket left for Omaha the last of the week for'an extended visit with his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Jackson. Anyone wishing his services as auction eer Irave orders at Hemingford central offire. Don't forget that on Friday. Decem ber 17, the home talent play, "Kathleen Mavorneen," will be given at the opera house.' After this will be given a Pto gram Ball opened by a Grand March. The weather has been very cold and stormy here lately- Mr. Hashman is building a fine, large house on his place. Miss Ethel and Master Earl Tallada spent Saturday evening at Mr. Skin ner's. Mr. and Mrs. Will Hashman were callers at Cal Hashman's, one day last week. Rev. Nolte of the Alliance circuit spent Sunday night of last week at Mr. Skinner's. Mr. and Mrs- John Duskiri were visi tors at Mr. and Mrs. Wismillar's, one day recently. Misses Elsie Calamehud Fay Hem bry spent Wednesday evening of last week at Mr. RosV. Leon Tallada has been absent from school for some time on account of having rheumatism. The children of Dist. No. 17 had a fine time on Monday of last week play ing "Pennsylvania Grunt."
