'White, haa displayed such 'remarkable
ability that the eyea of the foot ball ex
' pert have been oentered on him. Eckley
Is one of the fastest ends that ever
donned a foot ball suit. Whenever Char
lie Barrett kicks a punt Eckley la sure
to be found In the ' vicinity when It
reached the hand of an opposing player.
On the offense he haa taken care of any
of the linesmen and backs of the oppos
ing team that happened to come his way,
Cornhuskers Are
Invited to Play on

LINCOLN, Nor. 11. Chancellor Sam
uel Avery of the University of Nebraska,
tonight received a telegram from Pasa
dena, Cal., inviting him to permit the
Nebraska foot ball team to go to Pasa
dena te meet a representative eleven of
the Pa oil to coast for a game on New
Tear's day. The University of Washing
ton was suggested as the probable coast
team.
The telegram was sent by C R. Weldon,
president of the Southern California Uni
versity of Nebraska olub, acting for the
Pasadena committee. Chancellor Avery
did not Indicate what probable action
would be taken. In order to make the
trip It will be necessary for the. foot ball
men - to secure not only the consent of
the University authorities, but the Mis
souri Valley conference. -
Perrltt Is Blsraed.
Manager Harry Wolverton of the San
Franclsoo Seals announces the signing of
Pitcher Perrltt, recently cast adrift by
Los Angeles.

noon, in the whirlwind finish of the asso
ciation's four-day membership campaign.
Secretary Ralph Yeoman says that all
men will be welcome, whether or not
tbey are members.
Almost 100 men had been enrolled as
new members up to the noon hour, and
many more new members are said to
have been secured, but are being held
until the end of the contest by team
workers, who want to surprise their
competitors with a big showing.
