tired of the senatorial deadlock and politi
cal fiasco that has been pursued nt Lincoln
since January S. which has proven futile and
barren of good results: therefore, be It
"Resolved, By republican cltlzeus of South
Omaha, that wo hereby enter our most
earnest and solemn protest against a pro
longation of tho unnecessary struggle and
ask and demand of the republican members
of the legislature to lay aside and abandon
their personal preferences and that they get
together without further delay and elect
two able republicans,"
In discussing the matter It was decided to
send a copy of the resolutions to the presi
dent of the senate and to the speaker of tho
bouse of representatives.

Paul Murray was charged yesterday with
obtaining money under false pretenses by
selling tickets to a fake fistic combat. It Is
stated by the press agent of tho Red Light
theator. where the fight was billed to come
off. that Murray dlspored of about 100 tick
ets. Tho Markeson Bros, are prosecuting the
case. Murray has secured a continuance for
twenty days.
