Omeer i'inneli took him in tow and did not get whipped either , lie was sentenced to three days on the chain gang with the other three. When It came time for the men to go out on the streets with omcer Bates one of the gang , named Bob Smith , olechined to work and ho was decorattd wIth a bail and chain , which he dragged around all day while standing watciming the others work.
