\Vhen the gradIng commenced there was apparently -
parenty not the slightest Idea In the minds
or those nt the head or affairs lS to how much
worl there would be. Superintendent Harris
stated that It would ' give work to 200 men for
sIxty da's. An overage or about 150 men
have been employed each day for eight days
and lie work Is all dope. The one prQmllent
feature about the whole thing was the energy
dIsplayed by the men employed. Some of
them had been out oC employment for months
and they realized the necessity oC makIng hay
