rumor of troubles in the pool , The K0tior.il
market was lower in sympathy. A rally of
J to 2o followed , coalera leading. In the af
ternoon there were frequent rallies , but each
advance brought out fri h offoring-i. Near
the close , Northern Pacific , Lackawanna and
Nortliwentorn were singled out by the boars ,
and the Chicago , Burlington & Quincy touched
111 , against 115.1 during the morning. Some
shares were comparatively firm at tha close ,
but the market as u rule was weak. The fea
ture of tha trading was a number of Hollers of
options.
