contest. William Alschwede
took second place in the
swine contest.
The sheep showmanship
contest's top honors were
awarded to Larry Williams,
first and Gerald Huntwork,
second.

manship contest was Roger
Stork and reserve champion
Francis Lavicky.
The beef contest was sub
divided into three divisions.

I cannot, after two view
ings in Omaha, deny its ex

"Ben-Hur"!

Honorary Award
Roy Arnold, junior in agri
culture, was presented Gam
ma Sigma Delta's sophomore
scholarship award at the
group's annual scholarship
recognition dinner Tuesday.
Arnold was one of 24 sopho
mores and juniors recognized
for outstanding scholastic ac
hievement by the Nebraska
chapter of the national agri
cultural honorary.
The scholarship was pre-
sented to Arnold for compil-1
ing the highest accumulative J
grade average last year ,
among sophomore level agri-
cultural students.

Extra Community Concert
Attraction Tliis Saturday
A special Lincoln Commu
nity Concert attraction, the
joint recital of M a r j o r i e
Lawrence and Nelson and
Neal, will be presented at
Pershing Auditorium Satur
day at 8 p.m.
The show, an extra fifth at
traction for Community Con
cert members, will be pre
sented with no extra charge
to members, according to
Lou Roper, president of Com
munity Concerts.
Miss Lawrence, described
by some as "the world's,
greatest living dramatic so
prano," is a former prima
donna of the Metropolitan and
Paris Opera Houses.
She is an artist in residence
at Southern Illinois Music De
partment in Carbondale, 111.
The young piano team, Nel
son and Neal, have played
over a thousand recitals in
the last ten years, traveling
in a $40,000 custom bus with
their three children and two
concert grand pianos.
