PJ1. B.'s Promise Laughs af umaefiy
BY XADIXE AXDERSOX
If you don't like a lot of Laughs,
don't bother to come to the new
est and biggest affair on campus.
If you're not interested in win
ning a cashmere sweater, meeting
the new football coach, seeing the
winning Coed Follies skits, seeing
activities honored or a big dance:
you won't want to attend.
In case you're wondering what
this innovation to campus affairs
really, is, it's the Black Masque
Ade, sponsored by the Mortar
Boards. The Black Masque Ade
will be presented in the Union
ballroom on March 11 from 3:30
to 5:30 p. m.
TICKETS ARE 25 cents, but
that isn't all. Each ticket means
a chance on a cashmere sweater.
The swears will be given in pro
portion to the number of tickets.
For you gentlemen readers, the
Mortar Boards have arranged to
present the two winning Coed
Follies acts This is the first Time
in the history of the University
that an act has been lifted from
the show. The acts are being
given in their entirety and no red
blooded American male can af
ford to miss them.
FOR THE SPORTS-MIXDED,
and who Isn't, Bill Glassford has
consented to come over to say a
few words and meet the students.
Activities also play an important
part on the Black Masque Ade
agenda. In order to recognize
senior men and women who have
knocked themselves out in acti
vities but who didn't become In
nocents or Mortar Boards, awards
will be given to outstanding sen
iors in activities. The list is long
but select, so no one will want
to miss the presentation. .
A TROPHY WILL be given to
given to the activity which has
given the greatest service to the
University this year. The acti
vity will be chosen by a board
composed of Mortar Boards and
faculty advisors. Two honorable
mentions will also be given.
In case none of the preceding
attractions are in your line (but
how could they miss) there will
be dancing. The Black Masque
Ade is not a date affair.
Tickets are now on sale from
any Mortar Board or Tassel. But
hold onto yours tightly, as it is
worth a cashmere sweater. And
where else can you get a cash
mere sweater for 25 cents?
