Kansas State outplayed the Husker frosh through most of the game except for instances when the freshmen showed signs of bril liance. Score Touchdown Pop Klein's squad scored after one minute was gone in the sec ond quarter with Nick Adducl drivfng over the right side of the, K-State line for the touchdown. The score was set up late in the first quarter after Kansas State had kicked out of trouble to the 46-yard line. A prss from Nick Adduci to Ron Clark cleared to the 25 with Clark finally bring ing the ball to the eight on an end run. The Ravenna player did some good broken field running on the play. Nick Adduci spun to the five on a naked reverse. Extra Point Good Nebraska's extra point was made by a left-footed drop kicker, Charles Huestis from Hayden, Arizona. Kansas State came back in the same quarter to tie the game and end a sustained drive from midfield. The touchdown was set up when Rich Yost's pass was intercepted by Ralph Tidwell. Bob Julian scored the marker to end the long drive. Kansas State also called on the services of a drop kicker and Jack Lorenz booted the pigskin through the uprights for the ex tra point. The touchdown was scored with one minute remaining in the open ing half and left the halftime score at 7-all. It was mostly give and take In the final half with Nebraska's forward wall doing most of the taking. The Kansas State line was outrushfng the Husker frosh and pushing aside the guards for their quick opening plays. Virgle Adle, 213-pound tackle from North Platte, stood out on defense for the Husker freshmen. Cecil Voils, John Dean, Dick Regier and Frank Simon played good ball also. In the backfield Ron Clark, Rich Yost, Joe Ponseigo, Harold Sum mers, Nick Adduci and John Murphy were driving hard on of fense. The backfield also did a good job of stopping the K-State aerial offensive by limitmg them to only three out of nine attempts.
