Orpheum.
The bill tills week is not up the
iisumI Orpheum standard, but there aro
some mighty Rood ads. David Ssiuir
stein Is a wonderful artist at the piano.
1 1 is numbers were veil received. The
audience showing a splendid apprecia
tion of his artistry.
Flanagan and Marion in their novel
skit "A Lesson in Golf" drew several
acuity laughs. Mr. Marion, one of
California's leading professional golf
ists, does the instructing in a most
convincing manner.
We real'y enjoyed Carson & Willard,
the most of anything on the bill. The
act is sure-fire and doubly-sure be
cause of "The Doctor." The Doctor
makes a venerable speech scattering
sparklmg bits of wisdom among other
things he says: Beauty is only knee
high, which judging by the campus of
ferings is very apropos.
The bill closes with the Four Larniy
r.others in a fine acrobatic act. There
are four other acts and two reels of
pictures.
The Temple.
Lieuranee's symphony orchestra
gave a really fine concert at the Tem
ple theater Monday night. The or
chestra is preparing to go out on
lyceum work and are deserving of a
very successful season.
Riccurdo Martin, one of America's
leading tenors, and a number of the
Metropolitan Opera Co., opened the
season of artists' recitals. Mr. Mar
tin gave a splendid program and was
enthusiastically received. The matinee
musical gives recitals alternate Mon
days at the Temple theater.

"Build for Success"
DEAR .STUDENT:
You are now laying the found
ation upon which to build your fu
ture SUCCESS. ,
Modern education recognizes that
a sound body is as equally essential
to success as a sound mind.
The dance is equally a developer of mind and body
and it is a joyous play. The dance is becoming the basis
of the new Physical Educational movement.
Our course in dancing recognizes this mental and
physical value, without sacrificing one iota of the fun in
dancing.
The spirit of the service to our pupils our authority
and sincerity mean your success. Come in and lctus
discuss your'daneing problems or 'phone L CO'JS, 15 1780
