August Flower.
"It is a charming fact , " says Prof. Houton ,
'that in my travels in all pans of the world ,
for the last ten years , I have met more people
having used Green's August flower than any
other remedy , for dyspepsia , deranged liver
and stomach , and for constipation. I find for
tourists and salesmen , or for persons filling
office positions , where headaches and general
bad feelings from irregular habits exist , that
Green's August Flower is a grand remedy.
It does not injure the system by frequent use ,
and is excellent for sour stomachs and indi
gestion. " Sample bottle free at A.McMillen's.

Six Frightful Failures.
Six terrible failures of six different doctors

bottles he was entirely cured. It is positively
guaranteed to cure all diseases of throat ,
chest and lungs , including coughs , colds , la-
grippe , pneumonia , bronchitis , asthma , hay
fever , croup , whooping cough , 50c and $1.

There was Sunday-school and preaching at

Clementine Ploussard , who has been work

home , last Sunday evening.
Reports from Lincoln state that I1 rank
Fitch is now base-diummer for the State
university band ; also plays violin in the man
dolin club.
Roy S.Jacobs , who has been doing consid
erable courting of late , returned to Lincoln ,
Tuesday evening on No. 6 , to return to his
studies at the State university.
The trial of L. R. Fitch and Roy S. Jacobs
on last Monday , recalls the following in re
gard to the annual school-meeting : "After
voting a nine-month's school and levying a
sufficient tax to carry on the same , the meet
ing adjourned to find that a side-show had
been arranged by some of the friends of the
defeated candidate , in which young Fitch and
young Jacobs were to break Whittaker to ride
double. Result : A tangle from which Jacobs
came out feet first , minus watch and shirt ;
Fitch was somewhat bruised about the face ,
and neck , that seemed to have been caused by
Jacobs having mistaken the horse he was rid
ing ; while Whittaker was out a pair of glasses ,
and a shirt front , and the next day discovered
that somebody had struck him. " The liar
mony Valley correspondent to THE TRIBUNE
June 29,1900. The continuation of this side
show took place before the county court on
July 2,1900 , at which time young Jacobs was
dragged up by the sheriff on a charge of as
sault and battery.and the county judge , before
hearing the evidence.advisecl the boys to plead
guilty and pay a small fine and large costsfor (
furnishing the free side-show exhibition to an
unappreciative audience. ) The boys were fi
nancially bankrupt and consequently were
bound over for district court , a Sioo.oo mort
gage each being placed on their carcasses ; W.
S. Fitch being security for their appearance.
Their trial came off , last Monday. A jury of
American citizens decided that the boys were
not guilty for the following reasons : They
were too young to tackle a kicking , bucking
mule. They were raised in a city , so could
not have been good broncho busters. The
old sorrel horse seemed to be well broken ,
both single and double. The performance
was free , all the spectators being satisfied ,
having received the full value of their money.
The boys were dismissed with many warnings
and friendly admonitions from the court.
A Village Blacksmith Saved His Little
Son's Life.
Mr. II. H. Black , the well-known village
blacksmith at Grahamsville , Sullivan Co. , N.
Y. , says : "Our little son , five years old , has
always been subject to croup , and so bad have
the attacks been that we have feared many
times that he would die.Ve have had the
doctor and used many medicines , but Cham
berlain's Cough Remedy is now our sole re
liance. It seems to dissolve the tough mucus
and by giving frequent doses when the croupy
symptoms appear we have found that the
dreaded croup is cured before it gets settled. "
There is no danger in giving this remedy for
it contains no opium or other injurious drug
and may be given as confidently to a babe as
to an adult. For sale by McConnell & Berry.
