World War Veteran Buried With Honors at Srotia, Neb. Scotia, Xeb., April 14.—Walter Daudt, world war veteran, was burled here Sunday with full military honors. Reuben Beck post, American legion, had charge of the service*. The funeral waa one of the largest ever held in this city. --■-—-, Engine Cowcatcher Sene* Purpose for Which It Was framed ___> Guide Rock, Neb., April 14.—When Burlington passenger train No. 17, Kansas City to llenver, rounded a curve near hers last evening the engi neer sighted three cows loosely graz ing in the center of the track on a bridge approach. The brakes squeaked and Engineer Marshall, of Wymore, stopped the train as quickly as pos sible. The rows ran to the center of the high bridge and stopped. Two were < aught by the cowcatcher, end. although badly Injured, ran away when member* of the train crew ex tricated them from the worka of the engine. The third wae gently ahoved off the bridge by the cowcatcher and funded uninjured In the mud of Mid dle Creek. 30 feet below the bridge. -II A RECORD The week ending April 5th, 1924 showed the largest volume of sales in Dodge Brothers history. Actual retail deliveries of cars to users for this week totaled 5694. This does not include export or overseas sales. Since Dodge Brothers new type cars have been produced in quantities, deliveries to users each week have shown a consistent gain over the corresponding week of any previous year.
