; lo Be Dedicated October 20ti? by the Kansas *-* Nebraska Game I Nebraska's great Memorial Stadium, dedicated to the memory of alumni and students of the University of Nebraska who gave their lives in the World War, is the largest place for public assemblage west of Chicago. The permanent seating capacity is 30,000. The maximum capacity, with temporary jeats in use, is 47,000. The stadium is 760 feet long and 551 feet wide. Each stand extends more than one and one-half city blocks and each is one-half block wide. The topmost seats are 72 feet above the ground, the height of a six-story building. The structure, built of reinforced concrete, is to cost $500,000 when completed. This fund was raised by voluntary contributions from alumni and friends of the university. More than 40 per cent of the alumni resident in Nebraska are listed as contributors, 49 per cent of the alumni resident in Douglas county being on the list. The dedication Saturday, October 20, will precede the annual football game with the University of Kansas, Nebraska’s traditional rival. a Buy Your Tickets Now A special section has been reserved for Omaha near the center of the field in the west stand.
