* J3 to 10. Ask Your Grocer About It __M.___ Florida Spuds on Market Here _ *' California Peas, Fpgplaut, Cu cumbers and Cauliflower, Are Favorites. New potatoes from Florida are the Latest arrivals on the market. Fine California peas, eggplant, long, slender encumbers and excellent snowball cauliflower are favorites in the vege table line. Another shipment of Indian river pineapples arrived this week. Rhubarb from Washington slate is another new arrival, and in big de mand. Winesap, Fearmeln and Newton Pippin apples are running neck and neck on the Omaha market. The balmy weather has done much toward creating quite a demand for strawberries, and the market lids shown an upward tendency this week. The quality of the berries is good. Cranberries still are lingering on 'the market, but selling at much low er price. Bananas are improving in uual ty .and taste. Weather conditions having nnic-h to do with tills variety ot fruit. White fish, sun trout and salmon, I smoked In ovens right here in Omaha, jare showing an active market dur.ng ! tho Lenten season. Sales on herring j have exceeded the expectations of the I local market, and it looks at the pres ent time as though there will be u shortage of this variety. Fresh halibut from Seattle is being received. Lobsters are scarce and high in pifice. The oyster situation is easing up a little in the Chesapeake bay dis trict, and this variety of oyster is now beginning to come back on the mar ket again, after a short spell of scar city. Connecticut and Long Island oysters are about a thing of the past here, for the present at least.
