The complaint was signed by John Trout on, city fire warden, and E. E. Hay duck, deputy itate fire warden. Shubcrt Vaudeville Booked at Brandeis Shubrrt vaudeville wtH bt played at the Branded theater beginning in September, Joy Sutphen, manager, announced yertrrday upon hit return from New York. The Shubcrt units will play the first four days of the week at the local theater, leaving three days open for road shows, according to Sut phen. The first performance will bt September 10, when the Courtney listen will headline the bill. The units will contiit of five vaudeville acts and a revue. With the installation of a new di rect long distance circuit leading west from Omaha to Holdrege, the Northweilern Bell Telephone rom pany hai linked Omaha more close ly with the weitern part of the Kate. Trxde between Omaha and the west developed so rapidly that speed ier communication was neceriary. There are now SO long diitatie cir cuit! leading weit from Omuli. Thii include! the transcontinental line and thoie terminating in various towns in Omaha's trade territory. It was necessary to install an ad ditional repeater at Grand lilani in order an handle tha ealls from and through that point. There are now four repeaters at Grand Iiland. A repeater alio has been installed at Crawford, improving traniminion between Omaha and towm reached through Crawford. Another talking circuit, connect ing with the tranicontinental linei leading we it from Omaha, has been installed between Bridgeport and Crawford. , Light and Power Rate May Be Reduced Soon A reduction of the electric light and power rate from S 1-2 cents to S cants per kilowatt hour became i prospect yesterday when City Com mlsnoners D.
