Present-Day Application By Frederick D. Jordan, Los Angeles, Calif. Christian growth comes from daily Christian living. Life from day to day brings to the Christian many experiences—reverses, dis appointments, suffering with pain and tragedy, sorrow and the re sult of his own mistakes and er rors. These experiences offer the opportunity to test one’s faith, to prove one’s steadfastness. The way in which a Christian meets trials indicates how vital his religion is. Paul was brave and strong in spite of all the dangers and hardships that he was called upon to endure. As God helped Paul, so He will give us strength as we resolutely fight and win our daily spiritual conflicts. It is a fine thing to come to the end of life with a victorious spirit and a faith that is firm. Do not take the chance of waiting for old age or for a death bed victory, as a rule it is the person who has been victorious in his daily living who is victor ious in his dying horn:. Persecu tions and trials make Christ very near to the sufferer, and not only Lest We Forget Mrs. Virginia Brown, 930 Short. Mrs. Susie O’Donnell, 623 C. Rev. Trago McWilliams, sr., 2015 U. Rev. R. G. Win victories day by day, we need grace for but one day at a time and God will give it. You can now take out your Christmas saving, if you have been faithful in making each deposit through out the entire year. Your money “grew” because of your regular deposits. So will you grow in your Christian life if you can “report” a victory for each day. Hayes Well Received GREENSBORO, N. C. (ANP) —A large crowd turned out last week to hear Roland Hayes, cele brated tenor and world famous artist, in a musical concert which highlighted the Fall activities at A. and T college. Despite his years of work in the concert field, Mr. Hayes displayed un usual vigor and clarity in his singing. Mr. Hayes, who is now a member of the Boston university faculty, sang both classical selec tions and spiritual numbers with fine artistic finish and interpre tive understanding. He was loudly applauded by the large audience which gathered for the concert. I Cox Plumbing and Heating Co. Contracting Repairing Retail Plumbing and Heating Supplies 2-3077—140 N. 14 COURT S.
