Handy Subject: Intimate Words With His Disciples. Scripture Text: John 14:16 Memory Verse: “Ye are my friends, if ye do what soever I command you.” John 15:14. The Lesson in its present day application. It is possible to have friendship with Jesus if you fulfill the condi tions laid down for that friend ship. God is a friend to man and He desires the friendship of man for Him. To be this friend you must be a friend to all mankind, because He gave His son for all. As man grows in this friendship more and more he loves his fel low man and practices right re lations with them. You can not have spiritual power without love, you can not have love and be selfish. The test of our friendship for Jesus is our obedience to His commands. We claim friend ship but compromise as to the quality of that friendship. “Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you.” You are not to chang it, obedi ence in fact, in spirit, in thought and in habit. Be a true friend to Jesus. -o Responsibility on street or highway. Whether or not you caused the accident, responsi bility is yours financially, to show protection until the case is finally settled.
