McWilliams Sr. spoke at the Carver Nursing Home Sunday afternoon on “His Glory Shall be seen upon Thee.” The pastor, delivered a souls stirring message Sunday evening on “Rejoice in Christ Jesus and Put no confidence in the Flesh.” Church of God in Christ 20th & U Reporter, Mrs. B. The 3 o’clock srevices were in charge of Rev. John S. Favors and his choir. Money reported will be used to reseat the church and to defray the expenses of the pastor and wife, Rev. and Mt*s. B. T. Mc Daniels to the National Conven tion which convenes in Memphis, Tenn., November 25. They will motor to Memphis. The Sewing Club met with Mrs. Willie Harris last Wednes day. Fav ors delivered a most interesting sermon, “Growing Grace.” II Pet er 3:18. Mrs. Clara Anderson, sis ter of Mrs. Henderson, of Hanni bal, Missouri, was united with the church Sunday morning. Mt. Zion Baptist Church was guest of Rev. Rev. McDaniels Church at 20th & “U” Streets, Sunday, at 3:00. Mt. Zion Baptist Choir sang. Dinner at Mt. Zion Baptist Church featuring young Tom Brenamen, Friday, December 6, 1946 at 7:30 p.m. Admission 50c. An orchid to the oldest guest, door prizes of percale sheets, Cal loway towel sets, 3 lb. cans of Crisco, linen huck towels, Rinso, Lux, Oxydol, and many other prizes.
