Y., boating: traeedy is engrossing the interest of the whole coun try. The trial of Louis A. DIsbrow, for the alleged crime is likely to prove one of the causes celebres of the new century. There are few murder mysteries more replete with human interest than this remarkable case. The bodies of beautiful "Dimple" Lawrence, a girl of good parentage, and Clarence Foster, an athletic young man who, although married, was In love with the girl, were found floating on the waves at Good Ground, near an overturned boat. There were strong indications of foul play. Young DIsbrow, who is also married, Is known to have been Foster's unsuccessful rival for the love of the Lawrence girl. He is suspected of being responsible for their deaths. A local character by the name of Schwenke has made affidavit that he witnessed the scene pic tured above on the day of the murder in -question. The description of the assailant resembles that of Disbrow. Mn; Cobb and her two children of Texas are guests for the summer of Mrs. Cobb's sister. Miss Jennie Smith at it land Seventeenth streets. Mrs, J. E. Hays and Miss Hays will go to Cripple Creek, Colorado, next week, where they will be guests of Mrs. Hays father and sister. Mrs. Leonard H. Robblns started Monday on the return Journey to her home in Newark, New Jersey; enroute she will visit in Iowa and Illinois. Miss Grace Broady Is the guest of her sister Mrs. Avery Haggard. They have taken a cottage on a lake near Minneapolis and will spend the sum mer there. The Saturday night club gave a party Wednesday evening. After the dance some of the young people went to view the flood, which was at Its height that night. Miss Clara Leese. Miss Mae Blltgen and Miss May McGreer left today for Denver. Miss Leese goes to join her mother, Mrs. William Leese, and her sister, Mrs. A. A. Scott, who preceded her. They will be absent for several weeks. Doctor and Mrs. A. L. Hoover have had as their guests this week their daughter, Mrs. V. O. Strickler of Oma ha, their nephew, Mr. Clay Snyder of Muncie, Indiana, and their cousin, Mr. Charles A. Calladay, of Hutchinson, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Welch. Mis3 Welch and Miss Root leave this evening for Baileys. Colorado, where they have taken a cottage. The ladies" will remain all summer, while Mr. Welch will vi brato between that delightful resort and Nebraska.
