well known and popular basso of this
city, to Miss Pauline Maude Oakley, the

here, having visited here often, spend
ing most of her time in musical studies, Henry, 1915

An extremely striking brunette is Miss
Oakley, so that the two will prove an
unusually attractive couple. Mr. Clark

is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Clark, of Tacoma, Washington,
where he resided before he made Chi
cago his home. The wedding will be

and Mrs. Clark will leave for Europe.
They will first go to Paris, where Mr.
Clark will devote his time to prepara
tion for grand opera, for which he is
well fitted by voice, education, tempera
ment and enthusiasm. But Chicago
will hate to lose Mr. Clark, especially
when accompanied by 60 charming a
helpmeet. Miss Oakley, who haB been
in Chicago for some months, was joined
here yesterday by her mother. They
are at the Virginia, where they will re
main for ten days.
