Shipman (born Rich ardson) is the guest of Mrs. Barbour. Miss " Carrie C. Dennis has gone to Chicago for a few days' visit with her sister, Mrs. Manning. The young ladies served a chaf ing dish eupper and with dancing and other impromptu amusements, passed a very jolly evening. LeB Bohemiennes and husbands cele brated the birthday of Mrs. F. W. Brown. Mrs. Brown had been absent in Omaha during the week and had re ceived no hint of the visit. A beautiful silver candelabrum was presented to Mrs. Brown as a reminder of the event. A delicious chafing dish lunch was pre pared from the good things provided by the members in their picnic baskets. The Tuesday Night club gave the first dance of the season last week at Walsh hall. Parties will now be given once in two weeks during the remainder of the winter. These will be as informal as possible. The eighteenth anniversary of the founding of Alpha Epsilon chapter of Sigma Chi was fittingly celebrated on Friday night by a banquet at the Lin coln hotel. About forty alumni and active "Sige" eat down to an elaborate eight-course dinner, accompanied by orchestral music. The Hon. Paul F. Clark acted as toastmaster of the eve ning, and gained much applause by the witty manner in which he called for the following toasts: "Alpha Epsilon," H. D. Landis; "The Western Sige;" A. A.
