THE OLIVER.
The most memorable triumph in dra
matic work, Mr. David Belasco's roman
tic play. "The Heart of Maryland," will
be presented at the Oliver Theatre on
Monday, December 31st, under the per
sonal supervision of the author. As a
realistic and human picture of Ameri

brightened by its revelation of the power
of woman's love and courage in defence
of the life and character of her sweet
heart, ''The Heart of Maryland'' is un
equaled. Prices 23c, 50c, 75c, and 81.00. Seats

In several respects Mrs. Fiske's pro
duction of "Becky Sharp," her new play
from 'Vaniry Fair," is the most im
portant event of the theatrical season.
No other woman has made so great a
success as Becky Sharp in the occasion
al and' not notable plays that have bpen
made from Thackeray's novel. No
other actress is naturally fitted for this
character. Unquestionably Mrs. Fiske
ie artistically the Becky Sharp that the
novelist created. Her unparralleled
succors in the character is one of the
achievements of the modern stage.
Mrs. Fiske and her own special com
pany of fifty-live people with the pro
duction complete, comes to the Oliver
Theatre New Yars Evening for one
performance ouly.
Prices 50 cents, 81 00, 81.50 and 82.00.
Seats now on sale at box oiice.
The Viceroy, the comic opera by Vic
tor Herbert to be presented by the Boe

and clever bits of composition by this
successful author. The opera has en
joyed a vogue in New York and comes
here direct with all the favorites, scen
ery and costumes made for the original
production. Among the new comers of
the Bostonians is Albert Parr, a hand
some young tenor who has created a
sensation by his forceful' rendition of
the ballad "Just for a Day." one of the
features in this opera. Adele Rafter, a
beautiful young contralto will also be
