Society with card parties, keneing tons, dances and receptions fills the week. Although this is the week before Caristeas people seem to hare time to entertain and on two days of the past week there have been as many ae five different Darties. Possibly this lady feared that society was weary of kensingtonB ai-d hj like, so she gave an auction party. The guests on their arrival were pre sented with a list of twenty articles for sale and an envelope of beann to pay for hem. Each article was carefully wrap ped and the name of the package given in puzzling indirection on the list. For example: Special auction Bale, by order of Sher ff. Study of a head cabbage.
