Charles F. McGrow(i one of tho na
tional bank examiners for Nebraska,
has removed bis family from Hastings
to Lincoln and will make his homo at
2525 N street. Mr. McGrow was former
ly a state bank examiner. He and D,
A. Clino of Minden are now the national
examiners for tbo state. Mr. McClrew
will make Lincoln his homo because be
finds that its railroad facilities enable
him to roach any part of the state with
ease.

Spirit Lake, Iowa, on Thursday. They

A delighted company of young people
spent the afternoon and evening of the
Fourth at Meadow Brook lodge, at Mr.
Mattson Baldwin's south of town. A
brilliant display of pyrotechnics fol
lowed a sumptuous supper, ahd at
twelve o'clock the party started for
homo. They wore: Mr. and Mrs. El.
mer C. Merrill, Misses Harrison, Hoi
lowbueb, Burr, Hoover, Nance, Garten,
and Putnam; Messrs. Baldwin, Barber,
Meadows, Thatcher, Yates, Smith and
Joyce.
A romomborable picnic waB given on
tho evening of tho Fourth, at tho home
of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Yates. Tho sup
per was Borved on two long tables spread
in tho house. Cards on the verandah
followed tho moal. Thoso present were:
