Tho elegant home of Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers on Twentieth and F streets, was elaborately docorated. Tbo parlor was done in green and white, palms and lillies being used. The sitting room was decked with great quantities of red car nations, and the library was in green and white. Mrs. RodgerB wore a hand some pink crepe gown with lace. Her jowoIb were turquoise and diamonds. She was assisted in thoparlorB by Mrs. S. H. Burnham, Mrs. John B. Wright, Mis. W. B. Hargroavos, Mrs. J. H. McMur try and Mrs. W. C. Wilson, all in charm ing evening toilettes. The dining room was very beautiful. A largo centerpiece of pink roses was on the table and above it, suspended from tho chandelier wae a large ball of tho eamo fragrant flowers. Festoons of smilax on tbo table wero caught at the corners with bowB of pink satin ribbon, and pink shaded tapers in silver candalabra lighted the room. Mrs. D. A. Campbell poured colTee and Mrs. G. M. Lambertson served ice, both being attired in white. These ladieB were assisted by Miss Harwood, Mies Oakley, Miss Raymond and Mies Righ ter, whose gowns matched the color scheme of the room. An orchestra sta tioned in the hall played during the evening, a pleasing accompaniment to the conversation: Thursday afternoon Mrs. II. K. Bur ket and Mrs: T. M. Burkot gave a very successful kenBingtoD at the home of the former. When the guests had ar rived a mandolin club played a few measures from twenty different familiar melodies, and the ladies were asked to guess them. Mrs. M. W. Folsom named eighteen of the tunes correctly and won the prize. A luncheon was eerved at small tables, the ladies progressing with the courses, two at each table changing with each course. The house was beau tifully decorated with hyacinths, roses, palms and tulips. Those present wore Mesdames A. J. MisssB Frances Cunningham gave a dancing party last evening for about thirty friends at hor homo on Euclid avenue, Tho floors wore canvassed and good music addod to tho pleasure of the guests. The house waB decorated with palms, and scarlet and cream bunting Ico and punch wero Borved throughout the evening. The following wero present: MisseB J. Macfarland, Jess Macfarland Getner, Jackson, Jaynos, Woods, Ecklo of St. Joe, Hammond, Wileon, McHonry of Iowa, Morgan, Wirt, Edgron, Honey well, Randall, Miller, FoBter, Sabin of Beatrice, Cunningham, Wiggonhorn, E. Cunningham, Winger, Weeks, Hill, Douglass. Messrs. Irwin, King, Mat' son, Sumner, Honeywell, McOroory. Brown, Whipple, Chnpin, Harvey, Tukey, Davidson, Harmon, Weeks, Pan coast, Dales, Korsmoyor, Milenz, Broady, Englo, Norton, Crandall, Steine, Mudge, Hill. Miss Cunningham will givo a sec ond party this evening. Miss Agnes Mulry and Mr, W. Paul Fitzgerald, entertained at carde and dancing on Tuesday evening, a delight ed company of joung people. "Mount Emerald," the handsome suburban homo of Mrs. Fitzgerald, was aglow with lights, and gay with flowers and music. Progressive euchre occupied tho attention of the guests until eleven o'clock when beautiful prizes wert awarded the victors, Misses Outcalt and Bridge, and Messrs. Swartz and Han son. A luncheon was served at round tablts in the dining room, after which dancing was enjoyed in the drawing room and pool in tho billiard room, ac cording to the tnBto of the guests. Those present were: Misses Bridge, Hammond, Harwood, Gallatly, Whiting, Whiting, Harley, RickeHs, Hargreaves, Holbrook, Burr, Cochrane, Winger, Oakley, Macomber, Macomber, Risser, O'Connell, Raymond, Richards and Out calt; Messrs. Rend, Hawkswortb, Dun roy, BischofT, Cosgrove, Raymond, Tu key, Hayes, Edmiston, Butler, Butler, Honeywell, Hanson, Richards, Sawyer, Wehn, Swartz, Liebmann and Bartlett. Tho gentlemen of Plymouth Congre gational church ec joyed a banquet Tues day evening in tho church dining room. About forty men wero seated at the four tables decorated with palms aud carnations. The dinner was served by young men of tho church. Rev. Doane, pastor, and Mr. Jacob Youngblut plan ned the affair to promote sociability among the members. Tho program: Music Male quartet. "EfTectivo Christianity," Rev. John Doane. Mrs. E. R. Morrison entertained tho local chapter of tho Daughters of the American Revolution on Friday after noon. Short reports of tho convention of tho D. A. R. recently hold in Wash ington, wero givon by Mrs. J. C. Harp ham and Mrs. Morrison, tho one tolling of tho business tho other of the social features. At tho convention Mrs. AngioF. Newman was elected one of tho vice presidents general to take the placo mado vacant by Mrs. John M. Thurston. Mrs. George Fowol of Oma ha was mado ptate regent for Nebraska, Mrs. J. It. Haggard having declined re eloction.
