Mr. Clement depends for effect on no
formal appeal but employ methods that
are individual; at the same time, they
aro convincing and instinctively appeal
to the floor sentiment of hiB audience.
"A Southern Gentleman" loaves a
genuine pleasing impression for the
gentle feeling that prevades it. It is
prosented in a prologue and three acts.

voice, adpears as "Carlos," the daBhing
hero of the spectacle. Miss Ella Gardi
ner appears for the first time as the
persecuted heroine "Madeline." Miss
April 6th, to the people of Lincoln,
when Roland Reed, Miss Isadora Rush
and Reed's excellent company will ap
pear in Reed's ne-v and latest success
by Sydney Rosenfeld, "HiB ' Father's
Boy." In his new play Mr. Reed has
made the hit of his life, teeming with
rich and interesting dilemmas. A de
voted husband, a colossal liar, and a
general all around sport, give him a
great chance. To all the other mam
bers of the company are entrusted
strong parts. Chief among the talented
company, is the charming Isadore Rush.
