About thirty people spent the evening dancing and boating. They all went oat to gether in a large carryall. Mrs. Hargreavea gave a pretty party on Friday evening for ber daaghter, Mis Daisy. The house was decorated prof ut ely with sweet peas. Cards were played during the irat parte! the even ing, then light refreshments were served and the rest of the evening passed with, dancing. Cards and dancing were enjoyed and later delicious refreshments were served. Her guests were Misses Messrs Jecsie Outcalt, Isaac Raymond, Pauline Meyer, Alex Lau, Leila Burt, Prank Brown, Daisy Hargreavet, Arthur Raymond, Marie Weesner, DedrichLau, Nellie Jones, of Chicago. The young ladies of the Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity have been busy al most all the summer making extensive preparations for their national conven tion which is to meet here fiom the twenty-third until the twenty-first of August. Th9ir gusts will stay at the Lincoln hotel, the university buildings will be at their disposal and the Phi Kappa Pat boys have giren the as of their bouse. It is the first national con vention that has ever been held here, and the energy and pluck of the young women waa great to capture such a plum. It no doubt will be a help to the university and to the city and the citi ze'os of Lincoln will be glad to give their young visitors a cordial welcome. Mis Margaret Eckert, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Eckert of 1237 R street, was united in marrisga to Dt. Myron O. Johnson of Crete on Wedaesday even ing, July twentieth. The Rav. F. A. Stuff stood behind an alter of flowers acd pronounced the solemn words. The bride, vho wore white mousceline de soie over cream silk, was attended by Mis Adelia Vogt and Mis Louise Class. Mis. Vogt wore dainty white mull aad Mis Clatta a pretty organdie. Mr. C. W. Weckbach acted a grooma- Among the guests from out of tows were Mr. and Mrs. Charka Jehasoa of Dorehester, the parents ef the groom, Mr. aad Mrs. Peter Eckert, Mr. Bets ley aad daughter and Mrs. Carpenter of Bellwood. After the e remoay there was as informal reeeptios aad the many guests looked at the beautiful presents. A dainty luncheon was served. Dr. nd Mrs. Johnson left on the night train for the est for an extended trip. After their return they will go to :heir new home in Crete where the groom is well and most favorably known, having built up a large practice. Dr. and Mrs. Johnson have many friends who wish them happiness and prosperity. Mrs. I.N. Baker gave a very pretty party on Friday afternoan for ber little boy. Wilder. He was eight years old on that day and his little f rifcnds helped him to celebrate the event. The hostes served a dainty luncheon out on the lawn in the early evening and later took her little guests on a trolly ride. It was a pleasure in itself to watch the delight of the little folka.
