Miss Alice Slaughter, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Brad Slaughter, was married
to Mr. John Lottridge Wednesday even
ing at St Pauls Methodist church by
the Rev. Halstead. in the presence of a
large congregation of relatives and
friends. The church began to fill early
as it was known the wedding would be
a particularly beautiful one. Mrs. Ray
mond presided at the organ and played
for a time before the ceremony. The
church bad been decorated by the maids
with large love knots of swiss and
enormous bowls full of red peonies.
The lights were shaded with red. The
three front rows were eeparated from the
rest by streamers and knots of white
fastened with jasmine. The effect was
strikingly beautiful. Just at eight, a
pause, then the beautiful strains from
Lohengrin announced the approach of
the bride. The maids entered from the
north door and the groomsmen from the
south and stood on each side of the
altar. The maids were gowned in white
and carried bunches of red and white before the Rev. Dr. Hindman, who pro
flowers. Miss Josephine Lottridge, nounced the solemn words. The couple

Just before leaving, the bride tossed her
bouquet and it was caught byMissNelia
Cochran. The ring in the bride's cake
was found by Miss Weller of Omaha,
and the thimble by Miss Mae Burr.
The entire affair was especially pretty
and happy. Mr. and Mrs. Lottridge
received the most hearty congratula
tions of their friends. They will be at
home at 1218 T street after their return.
