Lewis have invited friends in Lincoln to meet their friends from Kearney, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Roberteon and Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Nevins on Monday evening to play whist Mr. and Mrs. MacMillan entertained the Pickwick club on Friday. All the members of the club were present and in addition, Dr. and Mrs. Hindman, Mr. most pleasant affair. Miss Outcalt has a charming and happy way of making her guests welcome, which always en sures an enjoyable time at her home. Dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Alexander obligingly play ed a number of selections especially requested by those present. Her "Wintry Wind" by Chopin, was a most realistic bit of impressionist tone, painting. It portrayed th concentrated fury of all Nebraska's winds. Miss Olive Latta presided at the coffee urn in the dining room, assisted by Miss Hollowbush and Miss Farwell. Mrs. F. J. W. Stoney (born Marquette) Meserve, arrived in Lincoln on Wednesday to visit her aisters, Mrs. Teff t and Mrs. Fawell and her brother John Marquette. She sailed on the City of Paris and as the fate of this ship was for some time in oonbt the anxiety of Mre. Stoney'a brother and sisters can be imagined, Mrs. William Owen Thomas gives a euchre party for Mrs. Stoney this after noon.
