ly devised actuations and novel complica
tions written by Micheal Morton and
which achieved a long run in New York
and Chicago cornea to the Oliver Friday,
March 29th, with its digital cast of
coaaediaBB embracing Etienne Girardot,
the man who made the whole civilized
world laugh at "Charley's Aunt" and
who will appear here in "Miss Franc'iB
of Yale." Breclon Thorpe, under whose
direction "Mies Francis of Yale" is pre
nented, is an English manager of repute
who is anxious to succeed in America,
and with this end in view, has engaged a
remarkably strong company to present
the comedy. The company to be seen
here is the original one and includes
Messrs Raymond Capp, Geo. F. Farren,
Louis Grrael and the Misses Lavinia
Shannon, Fanny Young, Gertrude and
Idalene Homan aud others.

the Oliver, Monday, March 23th. Mr.
Reed returns with a new comedy that
has proven one of the big hits of the
aaaaon, crowded houses beiog the rule
everywhere. The play enablea the com
edian to be eeen tothe best advantage
in one of the strongest roles he has yet
appeared in as a star. The comedy is
from the pen of Geo. H. Broadhuret. a
young writer who gives promise from his
preient work of being one of our most
brilliant dramatists. Running through
the play are several interesting under
plots, and the story is told in bright,
crisp dialogue- The characters are
