According to Harper's Bazar, tbo new Wcmau't club just formed in Pa-is, called "Les Femiuister,' is conducted very much like our department clubs. Three committees supervise the wotk of the club those cf Drama, Lyric Art and Literature. Madame Augusta Holmes is chairman of the Lyric Art Commit'.e?, and under its auspices works Ly women composers will bn produced. An ar rangement is mdo with the manage ment of ono of the Paris theatres by which, under the auspices of tho Dra matic Committee, plays, written by wo men are given. Under the control of a tLird department, there will be present ed an important course o lectures. The honorary president is Madame Adam, probably the mo3t brilliant Frenih wo man of her day. The president is Ma dame Dermon-Breton. The German government is arranging for partial university co-education. The authorities have decided that women henceforth shall be allowed to attend university lectures is guests, with tho permission of the rector and the profes sors. The imperial chancellor is also arranging for the federal government's granting women diplomas and if the re suit proves eatisfactiry, further measures will be probable. The Tuecday Musical club of Denver, will devote tho greater part of its next meeting to the study of Brahm3, and with him finish thsir study of tho Ger man school.
