Thomas returned to the city on Tuesday after a month's at s;r.ce in Chicago and the east, They attended the silver wedding of Senator ail Mrs. John M. A very pretty wedding took place at 11:."0 Monday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Turner, at 1538 J streef. Rev. II. J. Kirschstein perform ed the ceremony, which united in the Londs of matrimony Wilford A.Deweeso and Miss Freeda Shell. Only the im mediate families of the bride ani g-oom were present. After a short wtdding trip to St. Louis, Mr. and Mrs. Deweese will make their home in Lincoln. Mr. Holyoke entertained the Iowa Whist club on Tuesday evening very de lightfully. A wedding of mich intsrest to Lin coln peop'e took place Wednesday morn ing at 10 o'clock in Beatrice, at tie home of Mr. and Mrs J. R. Buiks when the lives of Harry Howell Harley and Martha Frances Burks were united in marriage. The guests were assembled inthedoub'o parlors on either side of the aisle down which the bride and groom were to pass. The wedding march was played by Miss Flora Beam. The couple took their position under a large Moral arch and were weadtd by Rev. C. S. Dudley, using the Episcopal service. After the service an elaborate wedding dinner was served.
