the growth of musical culture.
This new organization not only hopes
to stimulate and encourage the cause of
music, but also to render moro practic
able to the clubs, the securing of artists
for recitals.
The place of meeting for this fall, is to
be decided by the vote of the clubs Bend
ing delegate., and both Chicago and
Omaha are mentioned in this connec
tion, in case enough western clubs shou Id
favor the project.

At the next meeting Mrs. A.S. Raymond
wiil relate her impressions of German
music and musicians.
It has been decided to make the 'May
Festival'' a permanent feature cf the
club's work, and the chorus will re
hearse towards that end as soon as the
music arrives.
AH the "associate" members have not
yet renswed their membership, and it is
desired that they should do eo before
the jear book is published. Also others
who wish to enjoy the pleasures of meet
ing with the club and listening O its
programs, can give their nam'eB to any
-active member. The fee for each mem
berehip is three dollar!. Those desiriog
to sing in the chorus should apply to

the dues for the chorus members are
one dollar.
A new department to the club has

bers, without the necessity of being
present at each meeting and without the
right to vote.
The General Federation has been
holding its Exposition Congress at
Nashville, in the Assembly Room of the
Women's Building, on Tuesday, Wednes
day, Thureday and Friday of this week.
The vice-president of the National
Federation, Mrs. Alice Ives Breed, ar
ranged the following interesting pro
gram, including, as it does, speakers
from all parts of the chuntry.
