The surprisingly few people who are. left over from the early '70's regret to hear of the death of Mrs. D. G. Hull at Burbank, Cal., at the age of forty-seven Mrs. Hull was well known in Lincoln twenty yetrs pgo. She had many friends and contributed to the gaiety and eosiatilityof the place generously. Mrs. Fred Shepherd, who died on Monday afternoon, was a wooianof such exc3eding sweetness and gentleness that the ordinary newspaper expressions of loss and appreciation aro cheap and un worthy of the character they attempt to reca'l. As librarian of the city library for several years she made friends of tho hundreds who came within sight of her face and within heiring of the all womanly voice. Sho demonstrated an ability to organize and administer af fairs in some confusion before the as sumption of the po3ition. Her death was followed by that of her mother, Mre.
