ers at the Lindell hotel followed the
graduating exercises. The tables were
decorated in palms and pink carna

The toasts were excellent and contin
ued during the wee small hours.
Among the visitors drawn to the city
to witness the graduation of friends
was Dr. Dungan of St Louis, formerly
president of Cotner College.
Friday evening the 11th, a beautiful
rarty was given at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. A. C. Ricketts for the Beta
Theta Pi fraternity. Mr. Ricketts, jr.,
was host, with the assistance of his
charming sister, Miss Ena. The halls,
parlors, and dining rooms were deco
rated with cut flowers in pink and blue,
the fraternity colors. In fact, every
where pink and blue glewed over the
happy crowd. Dancing was a feature
of the evening. Miss Willoughby's or
chestra furnished the musif. Those

Last Thursday evening, Mr. John
Lottridge delightfully entertained the
Olympic Whist club. The gentlemen
found their partners and tables for the
game by matching their buttoniere
with the flowers of the ladies and sim
ilar bunches on the tables. The games
were lively and well contested. The

Mrs. D. D. Muir left on Sunday for
her home in Denver.
Edgar Morrill goes to Stromsburg.

er's dairy farm there.
It has been noticed that one of Lin
coln's fairest society belles is wearing
a new diamond ring on her engagement
finger.
A merry swimming party ocfurred
Monday evening from nine thirty to
ten at the Sanitarium. Those partici
pating were Mrs. Scipio Dundy of
Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Ogden.

Miss Grace Oakley gave a delightful
chafing dish party Friday evening.
The guests were Miss Henrietta Hol
Icwbush, Messrs. Fred White and
Frank Cowdery. These with Miss Oak
ley constitute the new O. C. club.
Miss Mae Burr went to Omaha this
week for a short visit.
Miss Alice Slaughter entertained this
week informally Misses Grace Oakley.
Helen Nance, Henrietta Hollowbush
and Florence Farwell. These young
ladies are planning to form themselves
into a club.
Mr. Will Creary of Omaha was In
Lincoln Monday.
Mr. Chas. Young cf Omaha spent
Sunday in Lincoln.
A set of "American Ancestry" has
been received in the city library. This
publication will be in great demand
by those interested in ancestry in thi3
city.
