To vary the monotony of a Sunday
evenlng church service, a musical pro.
gram Is not a bad idea. But of course
it depends on the program a great deal,
as to whether it is very enjoyable or
not. The choir of the Trinity Metho-
dlst church prepared and gave Geo. F.
Roofs cantata, "David, the Shepherd ter from a mandoIln orchestra. The ln

steadiness, perfect time and perfect

right.
As might be supposed, the life of Dav-

The solo parts were not as well done
as the remainder of the work. But as

would be shown. The part of David
was sung by O. L. Llnch; Jesse, G. B.

Michael, Mrs. H. B. Towne; Jonathan,
B. F. Llnch; Saul. E. C. Miller, and
Samuel, H. L. Towne. Mrs. E. J.
Burkett presided at the piano and O.
B. Wilcox at the organ. E. J. Burkett
was the director of the chorus and &
great deal of credit is due him for the
splendid work done by the choir as a
whole. The house was full to overflow
ing and a good many people went up
to congratulate the director after the
audience was dismissed by the pastor
Rev. D. W. C. Huntington.

Christmas
Our Bales during the past week have been the largest by a very
handsome percentage ever shown in the history of this business for
tbe corresponding week, and this, in the face of the fact that PRICES
ARE LOWER THAN EVER on nearly every line of merchandise, is
a very satisfactory condition of affairs.
Tbe result we largely attribute to the fact that the great buying
public of Lincoln realize more fully and appreciate these easily proven
points upon which we continually place such great emphasis,
namely
"Our Prices are always as low or lower than those
quoted elsewhere."
"Our advertisements are entirely free from the
slightest exaggeration."
"Our stocks, varieties' and assortments are
immeasureably the best in Lincoln."
Thebe facts being easily demonstrated, this store naturally becomes
