Temperance Town, he is not too busy.
Rochester, New York, has signed a player by the name of Lueh
it may be that You ngey Johnson has changed his name.

The Clarksons and the State University teams did uot come
together last Saturday as was advertised but this week the State
University team promises to be on hand.
Rockford is happy their players have all reported and include
Jackson, Visner, Pabst, Underwood, Alberts, McStay, Kling, Snyder,
Leffin, Mack, Flemming and Nicol.

St. Joe is negotiating with Fuller of Louisvillo to cover short.
Logne, an amateur of sorao ability who has been playing the posi
tion, is hardly swift enough to hold his job. Dea Moinea Hecord.
Ernie Cragg, 94 Des Moines, left his Indiana home Monday and
the next day joined the Lincoln club, to assist, to the best of his
ability, in the earning of tho rag by that city. He went in Wednes
day against St. Joe. They didn't find him difficult to hit except one
inning when he delivered ten balls and retired the side, having three
strike outs to his credit. Lincoln, by the way, just now has two of
their pitchers in a rather crippled condition, Kimerer and Myors
suffering from different ailments. Dea Moinea Hecord.
The games on the three holidays, in the Western Association, two
games being played in each case, are as follows:
Decoration Day At Jacksonville, Des Moines; at Peoria, Omaha;
at Quincy, Lincoln; at Rockford, St. Joe.
The Fourth At Des Moines, Peoria; at Lincoln, Rockford; at
Omaha, Quincy; at St. Joe, Jacksonville.
Labor Day, Sept 2 At Jacksonville, St. Joe; at Peoria, Des
Moines; at Quincy, Lincoln; at Rockford, Omaha.
There is a great difference between the mileage of tho Western
association and the big league this season. The average of the big
league is about double that of tho association. Tho averages to be
covered by the two has been published separately in these columns,
but are republished in order to show the comparison. The different
teams in the association will travel these distances:
