Mr. Art Guiou wont to Des Moines on Wednesday to attend tho wedding of Miss Clapp to Mr. Harbach, from there on to Cincinnati for a few days returning home tomorrow. Lieut. Prince left for tho cast this week on a month's leave. Captain Mulford is visiting his father at tho Cochrano hotel, Washington, D. C. Miss Gene Hawkes, of St. Joseph, who is so very pleapantly re membered in Omaha, has announced her engagement to Mr. Dun bar, a Bostonian now a resident of St. Joseph. The marriage of Miss Balch and Mr. A. L. Reed took place at tho bride's homo on Tuesday at two o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Reed left on the afternoon train for the cast where thoy will remain until Thanks giving. Next week in honor of Miss Jentio Yates tho Debutanto cooking club will give a cotillon. The Young Woman's Minstrels will bo repeated at Boyd's for tho Old Ladies Homo and it is to be hoped that thoso in charge will meet with Mrs. McKenna's phcnominal success, for sho enriched tin church coffers to tho tune of 81000 and some cents. Judge and Mrs. Ogdon have returned from their wedding trip. Mrs. J. J. Brown, Mre. Henry Wyiuan and Miss Chandler left for the Pacific coast on Monday. The marriago of Mr. Milton Barlow and Miss McClintock will occur at Chicago on Wednesday, November 11th. Tho marriage of Miss Jentie Yates aud Mr. Edward Smith, of St. Joseph, will tako place December tho 12th. Miss Sherwood's marriago to Mr. Lambertson will take placo in December. Miss Pratt had as her guests on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Rogers, Miss Kountzo, Miss Burns, Miss Helen Smith, Mr. Charles Kountzn, Mr. Netherton Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Yates and Miss Jentio Yates are homo from New York. Miss Woolworth is in New York w hero sho contemplates spending the winter with Mrs. Guy Howard. Mr. and Mrs. S. D.
