Lieut. J. J. Pershing is back from bis vacation and is a prom
inent figure in camp.
Judgo Davis left for the west Monday evening.
Tho Hon. John McShano was a Hot Springs visitor during the
week. Owing to Mrs. McShane's illness she and party did not ro
turn from Hot Springs last Saturday as expected.

Mrs. Putman and daughter, Misa Florence, "and Miss Angio
Saunders have gone east for a lengthy visit. Miss Florenco will
remain in Boston where she will attend school.
Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Harris and son, Master Fritz, aro spending a
few days in Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. John F. Kiefer, of Peoria, 111., are visiting Mr. and
Mrs. T. J. Hickey.
George B. Harris, vice-president of the Burlington, who has been
inspecting the Nebraska corn crop for the last week, has returned
to Chicago.
Miss Florenco and Henrietta Hawley departed Saturday for a few
days' visit with friends in Omaha.
The reception and hop tendered by the Lincoln Light Infantry
to the officers of tho National Guard on Thursday overling in
the pavilion at Burlington Beach was the most largely attended
military affair ever given in Lincoln. Many of tho officers wives par
ticipated in tho gaye ties of the hour, and a number of Lincoln society
maidens were seen flitting around with the gallants in gold
braid and brass buttons.

Judge Estelle has returned from Ling Pine. Mrs. Estello will re
main throughout the season.
Mrs. Edward Lee and son left on Friday for Randolph, N. S.
Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Bennett left for tho Adriondacks on Monday.
Mrs. Joseph Garneau left on Monday for tho oast where, sho will
make a tour of tho Atlantic resorts with a party of St. Louis friends.
Mr. L. Crofoot has gone to his homo at Dotroit, whero ho will re
main about two weeks.
Mrs. Brinkloy of Baltimore is tho guest of Miss Briggs at Soymour
Park.
Mr. R. W. Patrick Bpent Monday and Tuesday at Topeka and
Kansas City.
