which is a young woman who rather affects the manners and hab
its of the sterner sex. In the spring she joined a largo party for a
continental tour. The chaperone lived in an eastern town and was
unknown to the would be traveler, so all the arrangements ap
pertaining to the trip were carried on by letter, the young wo
man sometimes signing her christian name, which might be given
to either gender, and sometimes simply an initial, and giving as
reference one of our large dailies with which she was connected. A.
few days previous to her departure the following telegram
received:
To M B. Care of World-Herald.
