Girls Community Service League A nVndid collection of children's books has been sent to the Christ Child center from the extension de partment of the public library in exchange for those received last autumn. A radio dance will be given un der the auspices of the Christ Child society at St, Patricks hall' on June . , Today is Communion Sunday for the children. Breakfast will be served to them at the center after the 9 o'clock mass. The Eureka club gave a party at the center on Thursday evening and held a special business meeting on Friday evening. .The girls in the serving classes are being taught how to applique various patterns) on aprons and dresses. They are very much in terested in the attractive effects that are being worked out. Camp Fire Girls The regular monthly meeting of . the Camp Fire Guardians' associa , tion will be held Thursday, June 1, at 7.30 p. m. at Camp Fire headquar ters. This is the last, meeting be fore camp and a large attendance is desired. On May 3 Mrs. Samuel Streit, a member of the national board of v Camp Fire Girls, in New York city, entertained . Madame Pavlowa. At this time Mrs. Oliver Harriman, na- afjnal president, presented Madame Pavlowa with the Camp Fire Girls' check of $1,000, which was their birthday gift to the Russian girls in Madame Pavlowa's home. The Weloca Camp Fire of Omaha, Miss Lucy Garvin, guardian, was listed on this honor roll. A large thermometer chart hangs on the wall of Camp Fire headquarters.- As .the girls register for camp their names are placed on the chart and the thermometer rises. Helen and Katherine BIoss, who have al ways been enthusiastic campers, were the first to register. Girls are ' asked to get their registrations in ; now so that - the thermometer may register warm enough weather for camping. A group of girls from Windsor school met Tuesday at the homo of Maris Sten bersr. and after a talk toy Miss Mary Touise Guy decided to organize a Camp Fire and chose Wahaha as their name. This means walks, nature study and happiness. Those present were Audrey Corey, Margaret Stone. Marie Stenberg, June Crandell, Marie Robertson and Eliz abeth Parker. The Sophomore class of Brownell Hall gave a dance last evening at Harte hall for the entire school, which numbers 80 girls. Friday aft ernoon the Freshman class enter tained the school at a tea dance at the home of Miss Elizabeth Roberts, daughter'of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Roberts of Fairacres. Friday eve ning a play, "The Teeth of the Gift Horse," was given in the school audi torium. Next Saturday evening will be Junior night when the junior class will put on a stunt party for the school. Commencement exercises will be held June 6 at AH Saints church. There are three members of the graduating class, Miss Char lotte Denny, Miss Vera Selway and Miss Hartrice Minturn. Miss Denny will enter Wellesley in the fall and Miss Minturn plans to go to North western university. B. P. O. Doea. Mrs. E. E. Stanfield, who has been president of the B. P. O. Does since their organization, in February, 1921,' has resigned on .account or poor health. Mrs. W. D. Countsman, first councilor, suceeds Mrs. Stanfield as president of the Grand lodge. At the next meeting of the Does, June 9. there will be election of officers to fill the vacancies. The Does willi hold a memorial service at Elks Rest Tuesday at 11 a. m., and the cermonies will be conducted by the Grand lodge of ficers and the Drove officers. Rose Luncheon.
