unchanged: Savannah, holiday: Augusta,

coffee futures opened at an advance of 12
points on May, which was Influenced by
covering. of shorts on reports that com
parltively few notices had been issued.
Later month were three points lower,
however, owing to reoorts ot easier Brazil

from 10.21O to lO.Olo under scattering
liquidation. Later months continued rela
tively easy, owing to reports that Braxll
was offering coffee for new crop ship
ments at a discount, with September sell
ing down to S.84o or It points net lower.
Laat prices were within a point or two of
the lowest, being net unchanged to 13
polnta net lower. Salea were estimated
at about 58,000 bags including exchanges.
