Ends Life by Hanging
Joseph Hofcr, 43, sausage maker,
was found hanging by the neck in a
boxcar near his home, 3922 M street,

poor health. He is survived by his

E. T. Sidwell, 65, for the last

wheat which had not properly been

Changes in the standards for white
wheats will be made effective July
17, the classes common white and
white club being combined into one
class designated white wheat, this
new clat to be subdivided into three
subclasses hard white, soft white
and western white making the same
application of the hard w hitc and soft
white substitute classes as at present
and designating as western wheat
all white wheats or mixtures of
white wheats coutaiuinc; more than
10 per cent clubs or Sonora. Soft
red winter wheat, known by the sub
stitute clats designation, red walla,
will be designated by the term "west
ern red'1 and the standards will be
amended, effective July 17.
Inspection rules also will be
amended, it was stated, to require in
spectors to state the grade that
would be assigned to wheat if it
were not wcevily, and in the case of
garlicky wheat to show1 the amount
of garlic found, which the secretary
said "will give basis for price if
showing the cash prices paid at the.
principal terminal markets for wheat
containing different quantities of gar
lic." The department, it was added, will
promote an intensive development
and dissemination of market informa
tion as to the prices of all the various
qualities of what as sold on inspection
and sample at the terminal cash mar
ket to give country buyers and farm
ers reliable detailed information so
they may not be dependent upon flat
or average grade price quotations.

more thorough understanding on the
part of tanners and country buyers
of the elements and purposes of
wheat grading and the proper ap
plication of the gradiiifr rules, so
that they may co-ordinate sutli
knowledge with the market informa
tion furnished to them. -
