Head, chairman of the executive committee of the chamber. '"They arc business partners with men and just as inter ested in the industrial and commer cial development of the city as the men arc." The establishment of a woman's ipn will be advantageous from every viewpoint," said Miss Fay Watts, president of the Business and Professional Woman's league and owner of the Watts Reference bureau. Reconciliation Impossible Says Wife Seeking Divorce Mrs. Howard Farrcll, who is sue ing her husband, president of a syrup company, for divorce, will move Thursday to the home of her mother, Mrs. Van B. Lady, SOU Chicago street. She has arranged to sell the furnishings of her home, 5024 Davenport street. "There's not a chance for recon ciliation," Mrs. Farrell said yester day. A Silly Song By A CUCKOO BIRD. Last night at the Springs the fire bell rung. The folks was all in at the show, and me and my squaw was. among them of course, though I hadn't wanted to go. And every darned man in the Lyric got up and made for the door at top speed, the doors and the windows and picture machine got smashed in the doggone stampede. Old Mack Tecland's kid and a bunch of his friends, and a couple of out-of-town chaps had been in the back end of Peleg Brown's shop a betting their money on craps. And a darned cigaret or a match they bad dropped had lighted the greasy old floor. By the time we got down '.here the fire was so hot, we couldn't get in at the door. I worked on that pump until my muscles were sore, but old Fcleg's shop went up in a blaze, and Peleg don't known it. He's still hiding out, and nobody knows where he stays. The insurance ad juster just got here today and now he is prowling around, with a satchel of money, to settle the bill, but no where can Peleg he found. (Copyright, 1922.)
