Now York, April 1. Prices wire little
changed in featureless trading In today's
abbreviated cotton market. An opening
advance of a few points wss followed
by scottered liquidation which carried
options 3 to 7 points under Friday's
final bids in the first hour. Business
was largely professional evening up but
there was some scattered buying and tell
ing for New Orleans and foreign account.
Spot houses were sellers on the weather
situation. In the final halt hour the list
was bid. up by local shorts to a level of
1 to , polnta net higher, and closed there.
Local spot closed net unchanged at
18.10 cents.
Spot cotton quiet, unchanged, 18.10o for
middling upland.
Southern spot market wss: Galveston,
17.45c, unchanged; New Orleans, 16.63c,
unchanged; Savannah, 17.13c, unchanged;
Augusta, 17.13c, unchanged: Memphis.

changed; Little Rock, 16.75c, unchanged.

coffee futurea was very quiet today, with
prices showing slight setbacks under
Kscattered reailjlng or liquidation for over
me week-enrj. Braxllian cablet showed
slightly lower mllrels prices, but ad
vances In Rio exchange ratea were con
sidered about a standoff. The opening
here was two points lower, with May
selling at .42o and September at .17c,
and the market closed at a net decline
of one to three points. Sales wer esti
mated at about 7,000 bags. Closing quo
tations: May, 9.42c: July, 9.36c; September,
.17c; October, 9.18c; December, Janu
ary and March, 9.19c.

I offer $12,500.00 of 10 Two-Year notes in denomination of $500.00 each,
the unsold portion of an allotment of an issue that is to be sold at this time.
These notes are secured by a first mortgage Trust Deed covering the property
of the Standard Potash Co., located at .Lakeside, Neb. The property alone cost
over $750,000.00 and the Trust Deed also includes the lease held by the Stand
ard Potash Co., running for about forty-five years, covering 24,000 acres of
land. On about 14,000 acres of this leased land there are strong indications of
both oil and gas. A development company, backed by some of the strongest
financial and best business men in Omaha, are now sinking an oil well on this
property and have drilled up to this time down 2,700 feet, with the expecta
tion of striking oil sand at about 3,300 feet.
This paper, backed by the security, is a safe investment, owing to the fact
that the junk value of the plant would be considerably more than the amount of
the notes that will be sold at this time, and in case of development of oil and gas
the holders of the notes 'will have the first opportunity to make further invest
ments on developing this property.
