market was easier tut there was only a
moderate inquiry and sales for the day
were estimated at about 60.000 bags of
Ouhaa. while more was available without
being taken. Spot price were quoted at
2 3-32o for Cubas, cost and rreignt. e.ui
to 3.70c for centrifugal, while March was
quoted at 2 l-8c, equal to 3.73.
The raw sugar market wa fairly ac
tive and prices were Irregular. The open
ing was steady at 2 points decline to 1
point advance and prices steadied a few
points later on buying for outside, ac
counts There were renewed selling In the
afternoon by both trade interests and
commission houses and price eased off
again, closing t declines or j to 3 points.
March closed at 2.13; Jlay, 2.84c; July,
.53c; SeptemDer, 2.69c.
There was no change in refined sugar.
with fine granulated listed at 5.10c, but
the demand wis less active.
Refined futures were nominal, closing
unchanged to 6 points net lower with no
